Walking on water is one of the most famous of Biblical miracles. Obviously rising from the dead is the most famous, but this one has to be right up there with turning water into wine… which really wouldn’t be appropriate for a boy of Billy’s age, even if he appears to be much older in his form as Captain Miracle.
Unfortunately poor young Billy is enduring a trial by fire here (to mix metaphors a bit), confronting a villain such as Gaia Rites. In terms of temptation, she’s a triple threat: a homosexual, a pagan, and a shameless woman exposing her breasts for all the world to see. Fortunately Billy seems able to keep his attention focused where it belongs, and confronts her.
Your cartoon is very funny. I will recommend it to my friends as an irreverent parody of religious faith and of superhero comics. Keep up the comedic work! The spoof-rant about whales as fish had me laughing out loud. I imagine you will get some hate mail from people who don’t get the satire (especially from Christians who don’t have a sense of humor about being made fun of), but don’t let them get you down!
If you think this is just parody you may not be getting the full picture. Stick around until the end…..
You know, you almost had me fooled until I saw the naked breast. Poe’s Law and all that. Well played sir.
But don’t the exposed breasts make her all the more offensive and villainous?
